Its a cooling time for this country for many grounds, writes Jessica Valenti in this copy of The Week in Patriarchy
As I write this, the internet is aflame with criticizes on Jemele Hill- a reporter at ESPN who dared to call the president what he is: a prejudiced and a white supremacist. In reaction, an incredible amount of detest and persecution has been guided at Hill, and the White House has called for her firing.( “Wheres” those conservative’ free speech’ absolutists when you need them ?)
It’s a cooling period for this country for many concludes. But when the government attempts to strangled the lecture of a private citizen and writer because she blamed the president … this is a new grade of horror.
We did not assure Sarah Huckabee Sanders announcing for the firing of white supremacists who marched on Charlottesville and left one dame dead. It’s only those who anger Trump who are in danger of being censured. Thankfully, other columnists and citizens and coming to Hill’s defense- but it’s an important assignment for us all to remember. And it’s a warns that things can get often, much worse.
Glass half full
As the world deteriorates down around us, at least we can still laugh at Ted Cruz- is still in a gossip this week when his Twitter account “liked” a porn video.( Remember: This is a man who argued that that parties don’t have the right to masturbate .)
